Figure Out if a Keyword Will Sell

How do you identify the value of keywords? One metric is the volume of visitors it is capable of bringing. But the quantity of traffic is not all. You’ve got to be ready to sell to that traffic. One of the ways to determine the commercial viability is the pay per click CPC that the advertisers pay to display their advertisements for that keyword. Most tools provide this information, from Google’s Keyword Tool to Keyword Elite. If the keyword has a high cost per click, means advertisers have profit from it. If the bid price per click is low, there’s likely only a few buyers hunting for that term. Focus on this metric when researching, the volume of visitors and competition is not all.
